BULLETS FOR BREAD is Lewis 'Burner' Pugh's third solo album. A politically driven album of original folk and country influenced songs, most of the instruments have been played by Lewis with the addition of pedal steel by band mate Steven Hicken Jr. (The Burner Band) and fiddle by Niles Krieger (The Often Herd). It features 'The Ballad of Emily Swann', a true story of domestic abuse and murder in Yorkshire and 'Featherstone Massacre' detailing the story of soldiers opening fire on picketing miners.

Lewis 'Burner' Pugh is an artist from Leeds influenced by everything from bluegrass and country through to skiffle and punk. Brought up on bluegrass and folk music, he plays traditional music and his own songs which are often political. He also plays with The Burner Band. 

Lewis has supported the likes of Bob Log III, Ferocious Dog, The Mary Wallopers, Jesse Daniel & The Legendary Shack Shakers. He has also appeared at Maverick Festival, Deer Shed Festival, Orwell Bluegrass festival and Strummer Camp. Previous albums have received rave reviews in The Morning Star, fRoots Magazine and FATEA Magazine. 

'Bullets For Bread', his third solo album, is due for release on Shed Load Records early 2024.
