“Hearkening back to the Sun Records era when you could label most anything country, rock n’ roll, or rockabilly depending on who was singing, Signs and Wonders takes inspiration from the Million Dollar Quartet session, infuses it with just a little bit of a punk attitude and maybe even a dash of bluegrass, and fleshes it all out with more modern lyrics. ” - Trigger, Saving Country Music
The Burner Band play old school country and rock 'n roll in their own style. After two solo albums (Dog Songs, 2018, Dark Wheels, 2020), front man Lewis Burner collaborated with bass man Ian Blackburn to forge a collection of songs ranging in subject matter from mental health, migraines, murder and Liverpool’s campaign to rid the city of The Sun. This became 2021's release "Signs & Wonders", receiving strong reviews in Saving Country Music, Americana UK and Folk Radio.
They are a hard-working unit who have toured the UK, appeared at Deer Shed Festival and recorded a new album due for release in 2023.
Lewis also performs as a solo artist and has supported the likes of Bob Log III, The Coal Porters, The Legendary Shack Shakers & The Mary Wallopers. He has also appeared at Broadstairs Folk festival, Orwell bluegrass festival and Strummer Camp. Previous albums have received rave reviews in The Morning Star, fRoots Magazine and FATEA Magazine.
